Anti-Slavery Coalitions and a Challenge for 21st Century Women

[see post below]

Two things,

one, not sure if I'll put it on this blog, maybe just a link, but eventually, I will be adding an intercessory prayer group link, with all of the issues I have written about on this blog, with references to materials if any are interested, in what to pray and how to pray for,

meaning, we can come to God and pray for issues but we don't always know what to ask for, especially specific needs. Here, let me give you an example, lets say, I am praying for the global food crisis, well where to start? Well, I would listen to what God puts on my heart, lets say, a relief organization or missionaries, I would then, pray,

for protection for them as they are transferring food or funds to get the food, from juntas, riots, violence, etc. Then I would pray for transportation, for people to be there at every instant that any obstacle would be placed in their way, I would pray for strength, both physical, spiritual and emotional on those working for the relief [because its demanding work and very exhausting, the workers are few and the need is SO great], I would pray for their protection, AND if something horrible did happen, I would pray they would rely on God's power to stand strong spiritually, etc., I would pray for those receiving the aid, to see not just God's love but also, that love would spread, I would pray for those who are not able to get that aid that there would be other aid,

and so forth.

You see there is a lot, its not just, God, feed the hungry....I heard something the other day that is really good, on the KLove radio/and Compassion International, and this man was saying,

people all the time ask, why does God allow people to starve? If He is such a loving God, well,

we are, His hands, His feet, His arms, etc., here on earth, that is what the Bible says and its not that HE desires people to starve, He told us, commanded us, to go out into the world and share His love, that means, not just preaching, and it Doesn't mean go out into the world and enslave and FORCE conversion which tragically the 'false ones' have done so and many still do so, the wolves in sheep's clothing [Satan does appear as an angel of light to deceive and to turn hearts bitter against God],

anyway, its not that God doesn't move, is that WE don't move. Part of that moving is prayer, I used to think it wasn't, but it is, a huge part, because prayer changes hearts. Including our own...

So, I will be adding that, and I still will be going through here and cleaning up this blog/revising, deleting, etc. Eventually, anyway,

because there is So much need in our world, not just in assisting the poor but just so much suffering, injustice, its really easy to become bogged down in wanting to change the entire world,

and we simply cannot. It would be nice if we could, but we can't, but we can pray, for God's will on earth, as it is in Heaven...and He is very clear about His will,

He desires no one to perish. He gives us free will, and we can take that free will,

and serve Him in love, love others, or not. He doesn't 'force' us, and not everyone has the same calling, so I am finding that prayer, because one can pray/talk to God all day, in our thoughts, our work, everything, if we so choose, and I am finding, the more we pray for others, He opens doors,

for ourselves too, He changes our hearts, our perspective, He heals our wounds, He takes away the hate, the fear, and replaces with His love, peace, understanding and wisdom and comfort...

its NOT easy, at all because we are accustomed to just living life, pretty much, not thinking of Him, if we don't know Him even more so, Oh, one more thing,

pray for those who Do do God's work, but they may not know Him. God does work through unbelievers, all the time, because many believers are just disobedient to Him, and Jesus spoke of this, a lot,

the kingdom of Heaven, its not a hierarchy, its not the most powerful at top, oh no,

the first will be last, the least will be first. Jesus revealed to us that God turns the hierarchy, including yes, patriarchy, totally upside down, because its NOT about POWER,

its about LOVE. http://www.soundofgrace.com/piper95/04-16-95.htm

1 Corinthians 13:12-13

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

OK, second thing,

did some research this morning, and found this,

its an interview, with Mende Nazer, and I will later, add some things to the side bar, on current efforts in working to end slavery.

I would love to see Mende's book taught in every school, well anyway,

here is the link:
